The company started calling me claiming I had defaulted on a $1000.00 bill about three years ago. I have also received 3-4 mailings from them over this period. In the initial call, I asked for the original nature of the debt. They did not respond, just asserted that I owed the money. I have sent two letters to the company asking for written documentation of the debt. I have received no response, but the phone calls continue at least weekly. They leave messages on my home and cell numbers multiple times a week. I have tried to talk to them asking for written proof of the debt, and again received no specifics or response.
