I purchased a vehicle in -/-/- had a total loss claim on the vehicle in -/-/- - paid the company whatever the car was worth. However the car company stated since I was at fault I was responsible for paying the $500.00 the insurance company subtracted from the total loss check. I paid the balance in full in increments to the car company and they reported that I was a charge off on my credit report which is not true. I received a paid in full letter and a letter from their lawyer saying that my credit report would be updated to reflect accurate information. I have since seen my credit report be updated to charge off on as current as -/-/-. This information is inaccurate and I need this taken off my credit report immediately.
