Credit reporting company's investigation no notice of investigation status/result
TransUnion Intermediate Holdings, Inc. Credit reporting department,
Credit reporting company's investigation No notice of investigation status/result Connecticut
I wrote to TransUnion in -/-/- to dispute an item on my credit report related to - -. I specifically asked them to investigate because the item appears inaccurate. They continued to report the item without sending me validation. I have followed up in -/-/- and they still have not validated or removed the item. I provided information to them that shows the item is reported in duplicate. The collection agency has dropped the item from the report, but the original creditor is still reporting an item that is no longer theirs. It affects my creditworthiness because it makes the item appear as an active charge-off that has not been satisfied. In addition, TransUnion did not respond in a timely fashion. The other - credit bureaus, - and - have removed the item.
