My vehicle was broken into. I reside on a cul-de sac/dead end street. I accidentally left my purse in car as I have a -. Hands full and honest mistake by leaving it in my car. Thief took purse, diaper bag and all content within glove box ( car registration etc ). I filed a fruad claim with US Bank and also an immediate police report. No credit cards transactions were fraudulently made but perpetrator wrote a fraudulent check. US Bank denied my fraud claim. Holding me liable because checks were stored in an unsecured location ( car ). No appeal letter was given to me. I had to call several times to fraud dept myself to attempt to over turn decision. No prevail. I also tried calling my home branch and discuss matter with manager. She also gave same answer of " sorry ca n't help, fraud dept denied claim. Nothing we can do. '' Mind you it took almost a week and 1/2 for her to get back to me. Which I emailed her a follow up email with no reply. I had to call her to gain an answer. Poor customer service. I also called into fraud dept 3 times now?? Last representative said supervisor could n't get back to me until Monday! Run around. Point is - - fraud is fraud. I should n't be held liable for a $480.00 check I did n't write. In addition to Bank fees being applied!
