Greetings. I was summoned to court by an attorney firm - regarding -, a debt collector. The debt was paid in full but not updated in the - County court system nor on my credit reports. I sent a certified letter to - to remove the incorrect debt information and public record but it was returned. A certified letter was sent to the attorney firm - who updated the court record ( - ) but ignored the request to remove inaccurate information from my credit reports. I then sent a certified letter to Transunion requesting that the debt and public record listed on my credit report be removed. Transunion removed the debt record from my credit report but did not remove the public record. This erroneous information is preventing my husband and I from purchasing a home.
