Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.) Disclosure verification of debt Not given enough info to verify debt Maryland
FinancialreturnedThis is my 3rd complaint against this particular Collection Agency. First, the Collection Agency called my personal cell phone about the debt and threatened to ruin my credit if I did n't agree to attempt to resolve the debt, even though I denied the debt being mine. Secondly, the Collection Agency did not send me a Dunning Letter the required 5 days after contacting me by phone, but placed the collection on my credit files, which is in fact a violation of FDCPA. Only after I disputed the validity of the collection, did the Collection Agency attempt to " Partially '' validate the debt. I disputed the validity of the debt a second time and the Collection Agency attempted to " Partially '' validate the debt, sending paperwork duplicate to their first response. The Collection Agency also stated in their letter that they would simply refuse to validate this debt any further. I attempted on a third occasion to have the Collection Agency validate the debt in its entirety by sending them a Validation Letter by CERTIFIED Mail, Tracking No. -, by which the mail was returned to me stating that it was not deliverable and unable to forward. Yet, I sent this Certified Mail to the address on the Collection Agencies Letterhead. The Collection Agency, being Financial Management Solutions has also REPEATEDLY placed Documented ( HARD PULL ) Inquiries, one of which FALSELY STATES that I 've recently applied for credit for an Installment Loan, on my Credit File which negatively affects my Credit Score, which is exactly what Financial Management Solutions explained that they would do. The Collection Agency also continued to Negatively report to the Credit Bureaus while the debt in question was under dispute. Financial Management Solutions, continues to report negatively on my credit files, even though they have stated that they are No Longer handling this particular collection.
