First, the Collection Agency called my personal cell phone about the debt and threatened to ruin my credit if I did n't agree to attempt to resolve the debt, even though I denied the debt being mine. Secondly, the Collection Agency did not send me a Dunning Letter the required 5 days after contacting me by phone, but placed the collection on my credit files, which is in fact a violation of FDCPA. Financial Management Solutions Debt collection cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt resulted from identity theft November 13, 2016 - I was a victim of identity theft and noticed a collection from FMS - I 've attempted to dispute multiple times however no response on their end. Not sure what else to do. Police department told me to contact the federal trade commision which I wrote a formal complaint against FMS - in regards to this matter. Financial Management Solutions Debt collection cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt was paid July 27, 2016 - The item is FMS ( Premiere Property ), it should never have been listed for the following reason : A ) It is illegal in the state of Maryland for judgments to be placed on credit reports unless the money judgement box is checked, B ) The amount on my credit report is $9000.00 but the judgement amount was $4100.00 C ) I filed an appeal to vacate it and it was granted and D ) By law credit bureaus are supposed to delete inaccurate information and by no means should those accounts still be listed after I provided substantial proof.
