Billing statement Missouri

Fortiva is charging me a minimum payment of $210.00 on a balance of $1500.00 for my - Credit Card that they manage. Previous statements with balances of that amount did not have minimum payments that were this high. I have no missed payments and just made a payment of $2500.00 to them to reduce the current balance that posted prior to the statement being generated. I called and was told that the minimum payment is based on the highest balance and NOT the current statement balance.
