Got screwed by Citibank on the $400.00 bonus Checking account promotion. It was been almost 5 months since I opened the promotional account but I 've not received my $400.00 bonus. I have contacted them many times and even though they insisted multiple times on the phone that i was eligible for the bonus and had met all the terms/requirements. The one supervisor I spoke to told me it was be credited on -/-/2017 but now it 's -/-/- and I still have n't see the bonus credited. They filed an investigation/dispute on my case to research on why I did n't get the promotional bonus. Why would they need to file a investigation/dispute for a promotional bonus? Very nonsense!! I called again yesterday and the Rep told me there was a letter mailed out to me saying I did not qualify for the promo which was ridiculous. Every time I called, they tell me different thing. Very inconsistent. They are not promising what they promoted which felt like a scam to me. I will be closing my account this week. I 'm not going to waste anymore of my time arguing with them back and forth. This was my first time opening an account with Citibank and would definitely be the last time.
