Closing/Cancelling account California
After encountering at least eight different serious problems with this credit card from Citibank - including harassment and retaliation which included repeated unwarranted instances where my card was not accepted while I was traveling in the U.S., at places I often travel to, for small charges, such as around at $8.00 at gas stations even after I entered my zip code, and even after I had repeatedly complained that this should not happen - I decided to cancel my card because I refuse to do further business with a company whose behavior is either fraudulent or grossly negligent at best. I called on -/-/2017 to cancel my cad and went through all procedures to do so, and was unequivocally told it was closed. Then weeks later I receive another bill that included service fees and late charges for the annual fee. When I called in on -/-/-, to a person with the -, she admitted that the notes indicate the account should have been closed but was n't ; they had no explanation. I have requested call backs multiple times from someone at the executive level who could review this issue, as this is a serious issue of fraud, and of course no one ever has. I received one voicemail message that left the generic - number again ( when I explicitly told them no to do and have only someone at the executive level who would leave a name if i was n't here call ) : when I called them on -/-/-, -, Maryland, said the notes did n't even indicate what the issue was, which again shows how negligent they are, I again told them I wanted someone from executive to call me and no one has.
