I sent a fax to Credit Collection Services ( debt collector ) followed their instructions on their letter I received regarding the debt collection and did not receive anything back from them regarding the debt for two months and when I did it was just another collection bill. The amount does not add up to the accounting on the communication with the Minnesota Attorney General that the creditor sent them and we do not believe we owe anything. The accounting is impossible to make heads and tails of and they have left payments out. This is the second company the insurance company - - - Minnesota has hired to collect the debt because the first backed out. After finding out that our Automobile/Renter 's insurance company did n't put insurance on a new vehicle we paid for with cash, wheelchair accessible van $36000.00 and being told by the insurance company that we had made " Too Many Changes and it was our fault '' we went with the flow and had them get it changed, but looked for new insurance and canceled our insurance with them about 20 days later for a new company. They had made a transaction with our check card that was not authorized without our knowledge, etc. So, when we received an additional bill after leaving them, we disputed it. And, they sent it to collections. We disputed that and sent that to the Minnesota Attorney General 's Office and the first collection company decided after reading the communication to not be involved. About 6 months later we got this letter from the new debt collection agency and we faxed over a request for documentation to verify debt. Never received it. We know our rights and knew this was the first step in disputing the debt. Have not had any communication with the company since.
