Incorrect information on credit report Personal information Virginia

I was doing a thorough Credit Check via -, which is something I 've decided I would do much more often. In the past, I would only use it to check my score, and that 's it. While looking around at the different reports, I noticed that TransUnion was reporting a - name for me. I can not recall why this name would be reported under me, but it seems as if the reporting agency ( I can not figure out how to discern which agency reported my name wrong, or whether it is, in fact, fraud ) typed one letter of my name incorrectly. Whatever the reason might be, I 'd much prefer to have my name, and only my real legal name, to represent me in Credit Reports - I do n't feel comfortable with another name out there that is n't mine that is attached to my liability.
