Incorrect information on credit report Account terms Illinois

This is in reference to the account in collections reported inaccurately by - - in the amount of $490.00 listed by Experian on my credit report. The account that was closed is not being reported accurately. Information like the dates are incorrect, not to mention the amount. But I had previously contested the amount with the debtor years ago stating that is not what I should 've been charged originally but it was never corrected. So at this point when I already had to wait for the seven year mark for it to fall off I do not understand why - - did not report the right dates or have since changed the dates so that they stay on my report ( s ) longer.
