Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.) Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt resulted from identity theft California

I was a victim of identity theft in - and recently in - through -. I was notified by IRS -/-/- that I had been a victim of Identity theft which I was advised to check my credit report as well. When I checked my credit report I found two accounts that I did not recognize. They were - and Monterey Collections. Once I found this I contacted the credit reporting bureau to place a fraud alert and to dispute those items. I submitted police report, IRS affidavit as well as ID social security card and an insurance document to verify my identity. I sent it to - and - Credit Reporting Bureaus and I also sent it to - and Monterey Collections. After that I recieved a letter from Monterey Collections stating that they legally did not have to verify any information with me because of a 30 day clause. So, I did contact them and let them know that I just became aware of the situation that I have forwarded all documents to prove that this information was not mine. I also told them that another company was also reporting this information on behalf of -. After that

back from them either. But what they have done, they have sent to - and - that those account have been verified. However, those accounts that they are saying that are verified are not mine and they are only one account that is being reported as two. I then submitted a letter to both - and Monterey on -/-/-, since they said that they would not verify the account with me. In my letter I requested validation of the accounts pursuant to 15 USC 1692G Section 809B of the FDCPA. I also included in this letter that until the items that I have requested have been validated that they are not to continue to keep reporting to the bureaus and that they have 30 days from -/-/- to provide documents of which they have not done. Also - claims that these items are no longer appearing on my credit report which is false information. They are still reporting as a Open/late account and Monterey Collections is reporting as Open/Collection. I spoke with - with Monterey Collections on today, -/-/- who stated that she received my letter requested for Validation and Cease and Desist of any collection activity and reporting and they have continued to do report false information without providing requested documentation or verifying the documentation I provided to both companies. Therefore I am emclosing those same documents submitted to - and Monterey Collections to your office regarding this complaint.
