Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
My credit report shows a status of " Closed. $1100.00 written off. '' from -. I have disputed it with both - and -. - came back with no update as a result. After spending almost an hour on the phone with Care Credit they told me that they had never received an dispute ( s ) and that they could n't update it this account because they sold it to - and they would have to report it. I explained to them that they sold it, it 's not written off. They did get paid and they agreed but because it was sold off, they would n't update my credit report, that - had to. - is n't the one reporting the error of it being written off. - conference called all of us on the phone and eventually hung up on us because Care Credit refuses to mark it as paid instead of written off. They keep saying they will not update it because it was sold to -. I called - and they are sending me that I paid them off in full, but they ca n't report for Care Credit. No one will help me to get this updated on my report. This mark is causing me to receive higher interest rates, ( 3 % ) higher on loans. When I did pay it off. Please help me, they sold it, got paid for it and still wo n't update.
