Citibank Credit card department,
A credit was applied from - to my credit card account, dated -/-/2017. On -, I used -, on the CitiCard website and asked the credit balance amount, approx $750.00, to be sent to my bank account. This is the same bank account used to make payments for the credit card use. I was told it would begin processing on the next business day, -. I called CitiBank on - asking for the status of the credit balance refund request and was told the refund was initiated on -. They could not explain why it was not initiated on - even though I had not used the credit card since -. I do anticipate the credit balance refund to be applied my bank account by approx - based on their timing shared, on the second request. It seems the credit card company, in this instance a bank too, failed to execute the initial credit balance request and waited nearly 6 days, 3 business days, before they supposedly initiated the refund process. In the meantime, the bank continues to earn interest from my credit balance owed and
1. When a customer has a credit balance for longer than 5 days, the bank should be automatically contacting the customer on how to proceed to refund the credit balance. 2. My account history shows I requested the credit balance refund on -, and therefore should have been processed on the next business day, -. 3. Credit card companies should not be allowed to delay a credit balance refund request if the credit balance is over a certain amount - example $250.00
