Bank of America Credit card department,
Balance transfer North Carolina
I have a balance transfer card with Bank of America with - balance transfers at a promotional rate of 0 % APR. - balance of $ - where the promotional rate expires -/-/- and - balance of $ - where the promotional rate expires -/-/-. I was under the impression that payments would be allocated to the balance that the promotional rate expires first. However all payments are being applied to the balance with the expiration date of -/-/-. Therefore my balance of $ - will start having interest applied even if I have made enough payments to cover that balance. I was not informed about this payment application practice on the original contract nor is it detailed on any periodic statement. I would not have transferred either balance nor entered into the contract with BOA had I been presented this information. I feel like I did not have all of the relevant and material information presented to me prior to consummation of the contract.
