I have a tenant that was evicted long story but back rent was ordered to be paid. Left in my mail box was check for - Dollars in the tenants name but endorsed over to me. I was unsure if the check was real. on Wendsday -/-/- I went to US Bank - - - - - - for help with this. The teller took a copy of the check and said they would get back to me, they bank never did. I deposited the check in the ATM it was returned. I called customer service who told me to contact branch manager. It took 3 calls ... my calls were never returned in reasonable time finally I called a third time getting a women bank manager.. I did forget to write her name but this was Friday -/-/- at -. She told me SHE would not take a third party check. I explained I had no way of contacting my ex tenents but the check was endorsed to me. She was very aloof and did not really seem interested in helping me. I do understand you have to have policies and rules but as my Bank for well over 25 years I feel you should be able to work with your customers and at times make exceptions if you value and want to keep customers or mabe as a huge Bank you do n't care. So I am a single mom - to me is a lot I have no way of cashing this and MY BANK is not willing to help.I feel also that bank manager could use some sensitivity training as stated very aloof and not in my bank ... really her bank? I want the name of a person above her..I am sure it will not help but I strongly feel I should get help with this. Again I do get the policy but lets see if you can work with your long term ... 25 year customers.
