I accidentally paid a balance on the wrong credit card resulting in a credit on this card of $5700.00. I contacted the credit card company immediately after receiving the statement that alerted me to my mistake to have them send the money back to my checking account. I was told on the phone by the credit card representative that this process would take 10 business days. I did not receive the return of my money in the allotted time frame and when I followed up with the credit card company they told me that the request must be approved and they are unable to tell me when my money would be returned to me.
