Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card Georgia
- -, - To whom it may concern : In - of -, I entered into a contract with - HVAC to install a new furnace and air conditioning unit. As arranged by -, the work was financed by Wells Fargo Bank, via a VISA credit card, [ Account # - - Amount : $6300.00, ( see copy included ) ]. Approximately one year later and after more than $2000.00 in payments, I received a notice on the back page of my monthly coupon/statement ( which I did n't notice ) that the VISA feature was being suspended and transferred to a new non-bankcard credit line ( see copy included ) ; to use only for home repairs and only with one specified vendor - Home Projects, account # - ( see copy included ). This seemed like a bait and switch deal to me. Needless to say, I was not happy.
half of the amount requested [ VISA account # -, ( see copy included ) ] and I was informed no changes could be made until after I received my card and paperwork. Once I received the card and called -, an attempt was made to transfer the remaining balance from the original Wells Fargo account. I was immediately rejected ( less than 10 seconds ) and I had to suffer another ping on my credit score for the additional credit inquiry ; with no results, despite the representative 's guarded optimism and the short span between inquiries. Now I 'm stuck with two credit cards ( each with substantial balances ) and a compromised credit score that I will have to compromise more in order to get the total balance transferred from Wells Fargo. Ideally, I wanted this not to have happened, so I would n't have to pay the price I 'm paying now to fix it ; but my desired resolution would include : - Complete transfer of the Wells Fargo balance to one bankcard ( VISA, MC, etc. - preferably the new - card I presently have ), with equal or better terms as that - card, at no cost to me or my credit score. I no longer wish to do business with Wells Fargo. - If that option is not possible, I 'd like the remaining balance on my Wells Fargo card to be converted or transferred to a bankcard ( VISA, MC, etc. ), with agreeable terms and at no cost to me or my credit score. Thank you for your consideration.
