Citibank Credit card department,
I defaulted on my Citibank credit card 3 years ago. I have contacted Citibank multiple times to pay off the account but they can not find my information anywhere but are still reporting it to the credit bureaus. It came to the point where someone from Citibank told me to dispute the account with the credit bureaus and see if that would trigger a response to verify the account. The account was removed from my transunion report but was verified on the other - reports. I then called Citibank again and was transferred multiple times and still nobody could verify me or my account and as far as they were concerned I was nowhere in their system. I was also told by Citibank send a fax explaining everything and attach a copy of my credit report for their dispute department. They have not responded. I am not trying to get out of the debt and want to pay them but since I do n't exist to them for whatever reason I ca n't. I am trying to apply for a home loan and this mark is holding up the process. Thank you.
