I have an open and current account with US Bank for the - - - - - -. In the - 2017 statement for my card, I observed a discrepancy with the calculation for earned - rewards points for the charitable donation transactions. According to the program rules for the - rewards program, the - - - card earns points " at a rate of - - per every $1.00 in Net Purchases during each billing cycle for any merchant location that classifies itself as a -. '' All the transactions on that statement were from merchants that classified themselves as a -, according to the report on the statement generated by the ScoreBoard tool available in my US Bank online account. With a closing balance of $1200.00 on the statement, I expected to receive - - - = - - points for


I believe that - transactions for - - - totaling $690.00 were not counted as charitable donations, which would account for the discrepancy I observed. On - - or - -, 2017, I used the " Email Us '' contact form in my US Bank online account to request an adjustment in the number of - points earned to be consistent with the - program rules, in light of the observations I made. This contact was acknowledged in an e-mail reply I received on - -, and on - -, I received a letter in the mail from " Cardmember Service '' in response to the request I made stating that " - - - is not an eligible service organization '' and therefore, I would not receive bonus points due for charitable donations. I did not receive any explanation for why this determination was made, given the program rules and the observations I made, so I am wholly unsatisfied with this response from US Bank and I feel that my complaint did not get due consideration.
