On - -, 2017 my mother who is an authorized user on my Walmart credit card which is managed by Synchrony Bank contacted synchrony bank to see if there was $40.00 available to spend. The customer service rep. Advised that there was enough. Less than an hour later my mother went to was Walmart and picked up a few items. However while checking out the Walmart card was declined. My mother advised me of this incident and I called synchrony bank as asked what happened as o should have almost $160.00 in available credit. When I called the customer service rep advised that this account credit limit had been lowered the same night. This account is always been paid in great standing. Synchrony bank only dropped my limits after I paid down - other accounts with them. I believe this is retaliation due to me previously filing a complaint against them. Synchrony also lower my Lowes account and my Phillips 66 card. My initial complaint was due to the banana republic card being reported as late. Synchrony is caused my score to lower due to reducing my credit limit causing my utilization rate top go up. Synchrony bank needs to stop this.
