I purchased an alarm system that was struck by lighting the DAY After installation and therefore never worked. The company wanted me to pay $200.00 for the repair and I refused. They listed my amount owed as $880.00 ( the entire contract amount ) and reported me to collections. I wanted to clear my credit and therefore made a written agreement to pay this amount in its entirety if all notations were removed from my credit bureaus. They agreed ( in writing ) and the money was paid. They have not removed the negative notations from the credit bureaus as agreed. It appears on both - and - yet they took my money!
