U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,
Fidelity VISA card allows 2 % cash back on reward points. - - & - - also have monetary " cash '' back on their reward program. Fidelity VISA card is issue through US BANk and it 's credit card services for US BANK states " any monetary amount excced $600.00 will be taxable ''. This is inconsistent with - - ( 1.5 % back CC and - - - ) redemption programs on their reward points. Thus NO - tax form is generated at - - or - for reward point redemption. US Bank via Elan Servcies claism they will be sending tax information for value of $600.00. - institutions with reward redemption programs and ONLy the Fidelity/US Bank seem to TA- you. Request a tax specialist at Fidelity & US Bank respond in detail as the usage of taxation on reward points seem inappropriate and should be consistent with - - & - - - and be non-taxable income.
