I had a credit card with Citi Bank which I decided to close ( because frankly they - ). Six months later after account closure and no activity a charge appeared on the closed credit card. Long story short, since it was a " subscription based '' merchant, Citi allowed the charges even though the account was closed and the billing address did n't match to merchants charges ( mind blown ). I expected Citi to credit my account and apologize for allowing the charge to go through. INSTEAD after spending hours speaking with multiple representatives and Managers and being forced to fill out and submit a " claim dispute form '' I still have a $150.00 balance on my " closed '' credit card. Any advice on how to handle would be appreciated.
