In -, I was without - or any form of medical insurance. I attended the - - through - - - -, a free clinic advertised to the homeless as well as the uninsured. I underwent routine - for - and other basic information, and was billed a few months later without having ever received notice. I should never have been billed as I repeatedly made clear I could not pay, expressly did not sign any agreements to pay, and was told repeatedly that a free clinic would not charge the patient. This was a deliberate lie that was used to trick me into a procedure. I only realized I was billed when I checked my credit reports in -. The date of first delinquency on my CBS debt is marked as -/-/-, yet the itemized bill provided states the date of care as -/-/-.
