Citibank Credit card department,
Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement Indiana
I had a Macy 's credit card with a $300.00 limit and zero balance. In - of 2016 Macy 's let someone call and report card lost or stolen and sent them a new card to an address in Florida. Next the credit limit was raised to $2200.00 and immediately the card was used in -, - -, and macys.com. In - 2016 on a trip to - - - I tried to use the card and it was declined. Upon my return home I received a phone call from Macy 's asking for payment on the card. I informed Macy 's that I had not reported my card lost or stolen and I did not live in Florida. I filed a police report and the necessary paperwork with Macy 's Fraud Investigation Department. Macy 's has now sent me a letter saying they did not accepted my claim as a fraud claim and sending my account to an collection agency. This is unacceptable!!! Macy 's has significantly damaged my credit score and my ability to obtain credit has been diminished. They have also reported false information to the credit reporting agencies and now all reports are inaccurate.
