Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Forbearance / Workout plans New Jersey
Due to financial hardship I was unable to keep up with monthly payments on my Synchrony/CareCredit account, which was in excess of $3000.00. At - point about - months ago they offered to settle it for a fraction of the balance but I told them I intended to pay the full debt but needed more time. I then began receiving threats to charge off the account, to which I told their representative on the phone that I did not want it charged off but needed more time to be able to start payments again. That person said they would note it on the account. I now come to find out that this shady company went ahead and charged my account off anyway, thereby breaking their word and damaging my credit rating. They are refusing to to take it off chargeoff status until it is paid in full. I acted to me detriment based on false assurances from this company 's representatives. What I want is to have the full account restored and this damaging information removed from my account. I AM NOT A -!!!!!! I am a hard-working - who, like millions of others, have been suffering under the current draconian economic climate. Synchrony/CareCredit is proving itself to be a predatory lender.
