Amex Credit card department,
Amex continues to decline my request to remove the account which I am no longer an authorized user in the - report. I was added as an authorized user originally but the account owner closed the account, so it should not be reported on my credit report any more as I am not financially responsible. I was able to remove these accounts by submitting a dispute to - and - ; however, it did not work for - and - advised me to contact Amex. Amex Credit Bureau - kept referring to 'legal reason ' or 'Fair Credit Reporting Act ' as a reason not to remove ; however, I am not aware of any issue like this and I had no issue removing my other accounts where I was added as an authorized user from - and -. Amex even told me to write a letter to their legal counsel if I want to get an exact legal answer and I do not feel this is an appropriate way to handle this simple request. Please help me remove this account from my report.
