Amex Credit card department,
I booked a wedding at - paid a deposit on my amex card in - 2016 this was paid for in full my contract with the club asked for a check on the final day in - 2016 which I wrote prior to the party. There were many issues that the vendor did not resolve and things they did not follow through with on their contract I am starting a small claims regarding this. I put a stop on my check for the final amount until they can work out a resolution. On - - 2016 the - put a charge through with AME- for - dollars. This was not authorized by me nor does it allow in their contract I called amex to dispute after a month they put the charge back on and said the company had authorization. That is not the case they showed them the old deposit authorization. I just wrote and official letter to AME- explaining the above because when you call you get nameless faceless people in a company that is far to large to handle consumer complaints I dont wish my credit to be ruined or reported late during this dispute process
