Citibank Credit card department,
I received a letter From Macys explaining my account was delinquent by three months. This is the first notice I had regarding the issue, no bill were sent to my email, and I was tild they tried to contact me by phone, they were using an old number that no longer was in sevice. I was charged several late fees, - which was removed. I paid the balance due immediately to avoid any credit damage. I was told the account was paid in full at that time, they offered to connect me with another part of Macys to see about further reducing the late fee. When I talked to the next person I was told they would not reduce the fees and the account was paid in full ( - ). I then received a bill beginning of - stating I owed $1.00 to the account, still not sure why but I paid it. My balance is still showing I owe $2.00. I recently had my credit run as was denied a loan based on the the information Macys is reporting. Three months delinquient on payment, all this over owing approximatetly $160.00 and me paying as soon I was aware of the situation. I have a long credit history with Macys and my accounts have always been in good standing. This report has ruined my credit score and long standing good credit.. I would like a resolution, and have since closed the account with them. I will no longer shop or support their stores.
