During process of purchasing a house in -/-/- I shopped for home owners insurance. - was - of several companies I inquired but ultimately went with -. Without signing any contract and after verbally telling - I was going with - they claim I owe them $240.00 for insurance coverage and hired a collection agency. I sent the collection agency a copy of my insurance policy and a written letter explaining why I do n't owe this money. They have dismissed this and continue to try to get me to pay. As I have said, there was no contract between - and myself. Now I 'm concerned about my credit and property over a false claim.
