Violation of personal financial privacy. I have been banking with Bank of the West for several years. I used an ATM card to view my account, pay my mortgage and transfer money from one account to another. Recently, Bank of the West replaced all the ATM cards of their customers with debit cards affiliated with Mastercard. I verbally complained to the - Branch that I do not want that service as it made my checking and savings account vulnerable to fraud. I was told that it is now company policy to issue only debit cards as Bank of the West signed an agreement with Mastercard. Bank of the West has provided my personal financial information to an outside company. Bank of the West did not provide an opt out of replacing my ATM card with a debit card. I filed a complaint the the California Office of the Attorney General
