Citibank Credit card department,
I received my Macy 's - credit card statement which only showed the - items I purchased for $46.00. I did not pay the credit card for $46.00 which was due on -/-/2016 because I know I will be returning the - items. I returned the - items on -/-/2016 which was several days before the due date. I received my - credit card statement which reflected a late fee of $27.00 assessed for the - items I returned before the due date of the credit card statement. I called Macy 's to have them reversed the $27.00 because the - items were returned several days before the due date. They keep on telling me that it 's a valid charge since returns are not considered as payment. Why would I pay for something that I know I will be returning? It was promptly returned. In my opinion, this is unfair for the consumers. Macy 's is enriching its company from late payments on return items. How many consumers have to pay $27.00 from this unfair practice?
