Equifax Credit reporting department,
Credit reporting company's investigation Problem with statement of dispute Louisiana
On - -, 2016, after reviewing my credit report, I noticed accounts listed from - ( - ). I contacted the number listed on the report to be told they did n't have my account and gave me a number to contact which was - - - - - -. I contacted - to pay off the account in exchange for deletion from my credit report. I was told by - - to dispute the account, ( which I did ), and it would be removed. The company that 's saying I owe them - has since just decreased the balance owed on the account. I paid - - - because I was forwarded to them from a representative of -. I was told it would be removed after payment so that is what I expected. - is illegally reporting these accounts ( with a balance ) and this is not only illegal, but inaccurate as well. I contacted Equifax on - different occasions to be told " we are going to open a dispute ''. For the information to come back as " verified '' which is impossible because not only is it paid, but the reporting agency does n't even have the account. I spoke to a representative for the 4th time and was told the same thing about opening another dispute. I requested validation of debt from the creditor which I have yet to receive.
