Amex Credit card department,
On -/-/2016, I had applied to open the - - - credit card through American Express. I had applied for this card directly due to the promotional mailer that they had sent me prior. This mailer had promised - - - after $2000.00 worth of purchases within 3 months of account opening. By -, the total number of purchases had reached $2000.00. The terms of service state that the promotional points would be posted within -8 weeks after the spend requirement had been met. It has now been over 14 weeks since then and American Express has still not upheld their terms. I had directly contacted American Express at the beginning of - regarding the points via chat. They informed me that I had indeed met the requirements for the points and to now wait. I called again at the end of -, was confirmed that the requirements were met, and then
- ( 14 weeks after the requirements were met ), I had called American Express again and reached -. He confirmed that once again, the requirements had been met ( this is the 4th confirmation directly from American Express ) and to now wait another 2 weeks. In two weeks, I would have waited a total of 16 weeks. This is twice the amount of time that American Express ' terms of service and contract regarding this promotion states. I have been a loyal customer to American Express. This business practice is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
