Amex Credit card department,
I am requesting a copy of the letter from Amex, sent around - -, that offered its sincere apologies about the confusion of the payment I 'd made to account - on - -, -. This letter described - in detail - the disposition of an overpayment of over $300.00 from the account I held in - -. A portion of this overpay- ment from the credit account I 'd had in - - was apparently applied to my account -. And actually, according to my records from the credit report I checked in - -, the overpayment was a little more than $770.00. I am going to work with my local bank to retrieve those records from the actual credit report. I am requesting a copy of this letter to sort out exactly, if anything, I owe to American Express.
I would appreciate more sincere cooperation from American Express regarding this mess that they had a major part in creating. I did not request a refund from the credit account I had in - -. I requested a copy of the letter describing the disposition of the funds from that - - account. This letter was sent to me around - -, and also contained profuse apologies for the confusion about what accounts were overdue and how the -/-/- payment had been lost. I need a copy of that letter. Please send it to me.
