-/-/16 We are long time Chase credit card customers with a flawless payment history, high FICO score, and seldom dispute credit card charges. Recently, we were the victims of obvious credit fraud in that the - - -, of -, AZ quoted us a onetime $85.00 trip charge to provide an alarm/video estimate. This charge was to be shared - by another customer in the area for an amount of $42.00. We provided several very detailed letters and enclosures to Chase dispute department to substantiate our claim. At the time of authorizing a phone charge, it was confirmed with - - that the charge would be only $42.00 and he said yes. To our surprise, he charged us a whopping $230.00 instead. This is obviously fraud as nobody in their right mind would agree to $230.00 trip charge under the circumstances submitted. It should also be noted that we also never received a product or service from the vendor ( e.g. a formal written estimate for alarm/video mods ).


This is ridiculous at the vendor is the one that issues receipts and obviously when they want to fraud and steal from unsuspecting customers they will not issue receipts that go against their claims. Our documentation provided shows the trip charge of half of $85.00 was confirmed by Automation solutions. The dispute department ( esp. - ) failed to accomplish due diligence in the review of our dispute. We also question the dispute process of Chase which seems to favor merchants ' -. Despite requesting for senior mgt. review the dispute dept. charged back our account of $180.00. The original dispute is encl ( 3 ). The rebuttal is encl. ( 2 ). And the latest communications to Chase via secure email on their web site is encl. ( 1 ). Request Chase senior management officials review attached documents and correspondence and whether the vendor agrees or not for Chase to credit back our account $180.00 posthaste. - and -
