Citibank Credit card department,
On -/-/2016, I made a purchase in the - 's department of Macy 's in -, PA. I was asked by the sales associate ( a woman ) if I had a Macy 's credit card. I said yes and showed it to her. The sales associate then told me that Macy 's was " doing away with '' their regular credit cards and was switching to the Macy 's American Express credit card. If I signed up for - on this day I would receive a discount on my purchase. The sales associate also stated that I should switch over to the Macy 's - card because I would have to do so in the future anyway. I have since learned that this was completely untrue. This is credit card fraud, and what the associate did was very wrong. I have contacted Macy 's numerous times in numerous ways and no one will respond to my complaint. I assume that if the sales associate did this to me that she did it to several other consumers. My biggest concern is that this is a common practice for Macy 's sales associates everywhere. I may consult an attorney regarding a class action lawsuit and additionally report this to the - Office of -.
