My - suggested I use Credit Care/Synchrony Financial for a couple of root canals since I could not afford it on my own. CC gave me a whole year to pay monthly at 0 % APR yet, then after that year the APR would increase to 26.99 % APR. Within that first year ( -/-/- ) I paid $1600.00. But, when the year was over ( -/-/- ) CC added back the amount I had paid along with the 26.99 % APR. I have never had that happen to me before with any other credit card, that when the promotional rate is over, your hard earned payments during that time are added back to the card! I talked to several customer service reps saying that this is how they handle all accounts if they have not paid in full during the promo time. I find this abusive to the consumer and unjust. I now have to not only pay the $1600.00 all over again but with an additional 26.99 % APR. This is just downright consumer abuse.
