I have a AAdvantage credit card with CITIBANK. -/-/-, I took a Balance Transfer offer, for which I paid a fee of - % over the amount of the transfer and have until -/-/- to repay the balance transfer without interest. I have since then been paying in full for all new purchases made in the month included in the statement plus an extra amount to repay the balance transfer ahead of the -/-/- interest free deadline. However, CITI is charging an interest over the new purchases made in the month included in the statement because while I am paying in full the new purchases, I am not paying in full the new balance that includes the Balance Transfer ( although I supposedly had until -/-/- to pay it back ). I was just on the phone with CITI and they claim that this was disclosed as part of the Terms of the Balance Transfer offer, and probably it was. However, that means that the Balance Transfer offer was deceiving to say the least.
