My wife and I took a financing arrangement from Wells Fargo for roughly $5000.00 for - in -/-/-/-/-/-. We discussed various financing options and finally my wife presumably signed up for a 12 month 0 % interest rate. However, I mistakenly assumed that we signed up for a 18 month 0 % card. I was making a monthly payment of $200.00 above the minimum payment during the 0 % period. While reviewing my -/-/- bill I saw an interest payment of ~ $1500.00 on a balance of $2800.00. I immediately called Wells Fargo to discuss the matter and informed them that this was a genuine misunderstanding on my part, I have an excellent credit, never missed a payment and since I was just a day late, they should waive the fees. I even offered to pay the entire outstanding balance of $2800.00 and close the account. Although I do accept that the misunderstanding was my mistake, I acted immediately to rectify the situation. The way that Wells Fargo representatives that I spoke with handled the situation was ridiculous and our multiple discussions have not resulted in any positive closure, but rather a hardening of stance asserting that what Wells Fargo did was moral and ethical. Please help!
