In - -, I cancelled my registration for an event/conference. When I registered for the event in -, I paid using my business debit card. At the end of -, I closed my business and my business bank accounts at SunTrust Bank, and filed my final business tax return. The event vendor refused to refund my registration fee in any way other than crediting the card I 'd used when I registered. SunTrust accepted the refund, even though the account was closed. SunTrust has issued a check payable to my former company and refuses to cash it for me and the other former owner of the former business. The only option they have given us is to open a new business account in the same name ; again, that business no longer exists and the final tax return has been filed.
