I recently had a credit card cancelled due to information in my Equifax report. I have attempted to request a copy of the report through the Equifax web site, and find that although Equifax claims that you can request a report under these circumstances from the site, it is difficult or impossible to do so and Equifax steers you toward purchasing a report. Information on how to obtain a free report through the site is hard to find and results in broken links when you do find it.
