Amex Credit card department,
I am still waiting for the letter of apology from Amex sent around - - that describes the disposition of the funds from my Amex account in - -. The number of that account on the credit reporting agency was - - - -. I have a number of responses to the cover letter sent to me last month indicating that I " insisted '' I had no card with a number ending in -, but I need 2 weeks to respond to that letter. I will be - on Thurs -/-/- and will need recovery time and time with the bank to review my records dating back to - to be able to provide accurate account numbers. In the meantime, I request that American Express stop adding late fees and interest to my account - as that balance is still in question.
