Incorrect information on credit report account terms

Equifax Credit reporting department,

Incorrect information on credit report Account terms California

Due to information on my credit report that did n't belong to me, I was unable to obtain free annual credit reports until this past summer which was my second or third time trying to obtain a credit report in more than two years. I saw a dispute -/-/-, using - -, that I thought was removed from my credit report more than three years ago. The tradeline now had a different account number, the account was appearing as if it is a more recent delinquency and the total due was more than $2500.00 from the original dispute in -/-/-. I contacted the bureau, the collection agency, and the original creditor in writing to gather information of how is this not resolved and to have it deleted from my credit report. The original creditor was removed from my current credit report. The credit bureau has kept reporting this information with the collection company as verified. I wrote to the bureau in -/-/- and their letter was received via certified mail on -/-/-. As of -/-/-, nothing had changed except - - - has continued to add interest which they did not do in -/-/- when I originally disputed. The account

account from the original creditor to the collection agency. I did n't receive anything from this collection agency letting me know how they obtained access to my credit report. I did n't open an account with the original creditor. The original creditor is removed from my credit report. The credit bureau has a " deaf ear. '' I asked for this collection agency to be removed from my credit report. What I received was a statement saying the collection agency obtained new information from the original creditor. I want to know how? I located the original creditor on the California Secretary of State 's web site -/-/- and the entity was listed as dissolved. I looked on the California Secretary of State 's web site -/-/- and the entity is still listed as dissolved. If the original creditor is no longer a registered entity then I need proof of this new information and how was it obtained when the entity no longer exists. Why ca n't I have more information on this new information? I know I did not sign any documents with a - - aka - - - nor did I receive any correspondence from a collection company called - - Co. I want this deleted from my credit report. The credit bureau is suppose to report accurate information. The credit bureau written statement in the credit report directs the consumer to contact the creditor directly. I contacted the collection agency and the original creditor directly. The collection agency is still reporting inaccurately even after I contacted them asking for verification. How can the bureau be reporting according to federal and California laws when the collection agency nor the original creditor provided documentation verifying the dispute? This is taking almost as long as it took for them to finally stop listing my address outside of my geographical area. If nothing can be produced, which I am confident nothing can be produced, with my signature attached to any documents with the words - - and history of paid statements between - - and myself, then this account needs to be deleted from my credit report. I am attaching information I provided the bureau in -/-/-.
