Negative information should be removed after 7 years from the credit report. - - - - -, - - -. - -, IL - is reporting information that is over 7 years old. I asked Equifax to find out the date when this debt was open and became due and they just ignored my question. I also asked Equifax not to put the date of birth or SS N on the reports they send to me because my mail has been stolen several times. They refuse to do so. Negative information that is over 7 years old should be removed from one 's credit report.
