I have maintained a - - corporate checking account for 26 years at M & T Bank in -. They never complained about anything for 26 years until - 2016 a computer program, not a person, decided to close my - account and another corporate account called -. I received - identical letters just deciding to close the account. The Bank charged about $36.00 per month service fees for 26 years : $10000.00 profit. Now, mind you, we never bounced checks or caused any raucus for 26 years. This was I am told by Bank Services officials that they wanted to move in another direction. This was done the same week that I was approved as an Identity Theft victim against another bank.

When I called upthe President, I was referred to - reps Banking Services, whi each stated that it was a computer program that many people are complaining about and they were considering scraping it, and M & T bank wants to keep our accounts open. Then, another party in Banking Services named - - was very rude and stated the bank did not need to give a reason, they just decided to close it based on several factors including my - and -. I consider this - and - discrimination. For whatever reason they really think is appropriate, I am being discriminated against. Under the federal discrimination laws, if we ask, they have to tell us why they are demanding closing our account as of -/-/16. ( attached ) Why discriminate against - like us? We are - and attempt to maintain - small businesses in a civil fashion and pay our bills on time. But, we are not rich like the Bank. they expect to just close our accounts without an explanation? I believe the Bank has violated federal and state discrimination and banking laws and should not be allowed to arbitrarily close our account when there is no bad business activity, the accounts are maintained with a good sufficient balance and we have maintained a quality good relationship with branch management for 26 years. Both accounts are in good standing per Branch manager. THIS IS VERY WEIRD! In fact, our Branch Bank manager - - offered to process an - and a corporate business loan and credit card for us AFTER this -/-/16 closure letter was sent by a computer program. AS of -/-/16, - - stated both our accounts were in Good Standing and he did not know any reason why the Bank would want to close our good standing accounts.! IN ADDITION, I HAVE ATTACHED NEW ACCOUNT SOLICITATIONS FOR CREDIT CARDS AND OTHER BANK SERVICES! Who is running this bank? Why threaten to close our accounts and solicit us for new business at the same time? What is the name of this computer program installed at M & T bank, what are the data points that triggered the program to issue a letter without any management oversight? What other - victims have the Bank targeted to close their accounts without cause? How many accounts has the Bank closed using this invisible computer program?
