Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
Closing/Cancelling account Georgia
I have been a member of Dillards card services for about 21 years and they were acquired awhile ago by Wells Fargo bank. Well I lost my job in - and am just getting another job but I am paying my bills consistenly with the exception of a few months that I missed. My last payment of $90.00 was paid on -. which left my balance at $80.00. No high balance. However, I checked my credit card statement today to find out that Wells Fargo arbitrarily closed my account and when I called Dillard 's to inquire about their decision, I was told that they could not speak with me and I was hung up on. I thought that we lived in America! I never knew that a company/Bank would take this type of action without informing their loyal customers first. However, I can not to get any straight answers as to why this action has occurred. I called again and paid my past due amount because they could not answer any questions until that was done. In addition, no one could give me a manager 's name to provide you with. I was simply told that I was being
arbitrary and mean-spirited. Customers lose their jobs all the time in this economy, but are allowed to catch up their bills at a later time. I was in the process of doing so when my account was closed by Wells Fargo with no one supplying the name of who committed this action. Instead I am being assigned a case worker, - - and was told that he would be working on my case and would be getting back with me. I have never been so insulted in my life. I have treated like a deadbeat instead of loyal customer of 21 years. It saddens
